Depending on the project, I work at either an hourly or fixed rate. For large projects, such as a developmental edit or complex book design, I have found that an hourly rate structure provides the most value and flexibility to my clients. For smaller creative projects and recurring services, often a fixed rate helps clients budget and plan accordingly. Several past projects, the time to completion, and their costs are listed below.
I will let you know what the rate is after our initial project consultation. The final rate will depend on factors such as the type of work and the quantity of work. For hourly projects, I will provide an estimate of the hours needed for completion.

Interior book design for history book
This 450-page regional history book had over 50 illustrations, numerous block quotes, and other unique formatting needs. The design went through many revisions with the client. The project came in at 97 hours and a total cost of $6,790.

This 80,000 word draft book was a family history of sorts. The client wanted a polished narrative. The edit required two editors working in tandem with the author over a period of six months. The project came in at $9,750.
